“Some moments deserve more than a photograph.
They deserve to be remembered exactly as they felt.
The laughter, the quiet glances, the people you love, and the little things you never realized would mean so much.
That’s what I’m here to capture.”

Alongside the photography practice, JCGB Productions develops film, brand, and digital work — visual identities, websites, and production systems built with the same eye for story.
Video content, visual storytelling, short-form creative productions, and promotional media — planned, shot, and finished as complete pieces, not fragments.
Concept development, visual strategy, and creative planning. The decisions that make a body of work feel like one idea, carried through every frame and page.
Visual identities, websites, and brand presentations — the digital environments where the work lives and where clients first meet it.

Dear Bride,
There’s something I want you to know before you ever step in front of my camera.
Your wedding day isn’t a photoshoot. It’s one of the most meaningful days of your life. And I never want you to forget that.
You’ve spent months, maybe years, imagining this day. You’ve thought about the dress, the flowers, the music, the people standing beside you. You’ve put so much of your heart into creating a day that feels like you.
And when that day finally arrives, I want you to experience every second of it.

That’s where I come in.
I’m not the photographer who simply shows up, takes a few pretty pictures, and heads home.
I’m the person who notices your mom quietly wiping away a tear while you’re getting ready. The way your grandmother holds your hand just a little longer. Your best friend laughing with you when the nerves start kicking in. The look on your partner’s face when they see you for the first time.

The moments you planned for.
And, perhaps more importantly, the moments you never even knew were happening.
Those are the things I live to capture.
When you invite me into your wedding day, you’re inviting me into your story.
I’ll be there through the excitement, the nerves, the happy tears, and the beautiful chaos in between.
I’ll help straighten your veil, remind you to take a moment for yourself, make you laugh when you need it, and gently guide you when you’re not quite sure what to do with your hands.

But I’ll also know when to step back.
Because some of the most beautiful photographs happen when nobody realizes a camera is there.
I don’t believe your wedding should revolve around getting the perfect picture. I believe the perfect pictures come from allowing you to truly live your wedding day.
I’ll give you direction when you need it, space when you don’t, and my full attention throughout it all.
Years from now, I want you to look through your wedding photographs and remember more than what everything looked like.
I want you to remember the sound of your friends laughing as you got ready.
The way your hands trembled just before walking down the aisle.
The people who traveled miles just to celebrate you.
The details you worked so hard to bring together.

And the quiet moments that somehow became your favorite memories.
I want you to discover photographs of things you didn’t even realize I was capturing.
Because one day, those little moments may mean more to you than you could ever imagine today.
My approach to wedding photography is rooted in lifestyle storytelling. It’s natural, intentional, emotional, and unapologetically real.
Of course, we’ll capture the beautiful portraits, the family photographs, and all those moments you’ve been dreaming about.

But I want to give you something beyond a collection of beautiful images.
I want to give you the ability to feel your wedding day all over again.
To remember the people, the love, the laughter, and every little detail that made it yours.
Because your story deserves more than photographs that look beautiful.
It deserves photographs that mean something.
And I’d be honored to be the person who captures them.

With love,
John Geyer Black

No two love stories are the same, and I wouldn’t dream of photographing them as if they were.
I’d love to hear about the two of you, the day you’re planning, and the moments that matter most.
